GEN-PRO was selected through a Request for Proposal (RFP) process by Humber College to complete extensive demolition of existing classrooms and perform interior renovations to Buildings J, N and L to accommodate the School of Applied Technology, comprised of the departments of Interior and Industrial design, Architectural Technology, Robotics and Electronics.
The basement and 1st floor of N Building totaling 52,000 Square feet was converted into the new Interior & Industrial design and Architectural Technology departments. The basement level was converted into Mechanical Engineering Program labs, and classroom areas. The 1st floor was renovated to suit the Humber Design Centre with a complete upgrade and renovations to the entire floor to provide new design studios, classroom labs and office area for staff.
J building included approx. 12,000 square feet of classrooms, offices and lab area on the second floor, converted into labs, classrooms and office spaces for the Robotics and Electronic Departments.
L building included approx. 3,000 square foot of sustainable labs.
